yeah i think you’re right.
that’s why they keep repeating the line, “is love alive?”. the two girls represent this by trying to grow love during the winter but constantly failing until the very end.

I don’t think your interpretation of the ending is quite right, Ebag1990. Instead, I think they were happy at the end. The tree wasn’t going through their house. It lifted their house off the ground, and gave life to spring. Winter ended, and for that they were happy, because all along they were trying to grow love in winter. At least that’s my take on it.

And now for a note on the song and/or video. Amazing. I’ve fallen in love with the song. tfer717 couldn’t have said it better either.
